We are currently living in a paradigm where science is leading our understanding of our world and ourselves.
For some of us working in the holistic field of health we have the privilege of encountering the actual processes and forces that science aims to explain, whether we understand them or not. In a simple touch we make contact with both microscopic processes and universal forces. By seeing biology as metaphor, our enquiry takes on new meaning, especially once we are grounded through the heart of touch, rather than being led by the mind alone. Symptoms become language and intuition becomes insight.
In addition to hands on work we will be using this opportunity to explore, in a simple and non-judgemental way, ideas and concepts together. The depth of understanding at the heart of this work is ever changing and often lost in the realm of hard facts.
The aim of this day is to facilitate a relationship to our biology that reflects its most dynamic and alive expression rather than treating it as a limited mechanism contained by language and defined concepts.
Biology as Metaphor acts as a stand alone day of exploration but also continues the enquiry that began with Self and Health.
